Thumb and finger sucking habits are considered
normal for infants and toddlers. But prolonged sucking habits
can cause significant dental problems. Most children have stopped
sucking their fingers or thumb by the time they reach school
age. Persistent sucking beyond that age though is of some concern.
Various strategies and techniques may prove helpful in breaking
these habits. We will be glad to make appropriate recommendations
if your child has a finger or thumb sucking habit. |
